Useful information regarding your travel and visa

LETTER OF INVITATION

Upon request, the conference organizer will provide you with an official invitation letter for attending the International Conference on Nanomaterials & Nanotechnology (ICNano). This may assist in getting the appropriate visa. However, such an invitation does not imply any responsibility or liability for travel or other expenses. If you need an invitation letter for the VISA application, please contact us as soon as possible with the following information:

  • Full Name (as per your passport)
  • Postal address
  • Date and place of birth
  • Passport number and date of expiration

If you have a keynote, invited, oral, or poster presentation, please provide the abstract ID or the title.

VISA INFORMATION

Overseas visitors outside of UAE entering Abu Dhabi should hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry. Citizens having passports from certain countries need a VISA to visit Abu Dhabi. Additionally, you have to apply for a Qatar visa. However, citizens from around 95+ eligible countries are eligible for visa-free entry or visa waiver upon arrival to Qatar. Airport

Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is the main international airport serving Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. 

The airport is served by more than 50 airlines, offering direct flights to over 120 destinations worldwide. Some of the major airlines that operate from AUH include Etihad Airways, Emirates, and Air Arabia. The airport is well-connected to the city by public transport, including taxis, buses, and the Abu Dhabi Metro, making it easy for travelers to reach their destination.

PLANNING YOUR STAY

Advanced Nanomaterials Congress looks forward to hosting you at the Congress. During the stay, we consider it a priority to provide you with great accommodation and food while you are on the cruise. However, there are a few aspects that you need to consider yourself while planning for the visit.

The information mentioned below will help you in quickly finding good accommodation and local transport in the city. Your overall journey will consist of the following parts:

  • Transportation from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Hotel/Venue
  • Hotel Accommodation in Abu Dhabi International Airport before and/or after Congress
  • Cruise Accommodation (Night 1-5): Departure from Congress midway in Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar)
  • Departure from Congress in Dubai (Day 6) 
  • Transportation from Venue to Hotel and/or Airport

Hotel Accommodation

Depending on your schedule, you may have booked accommodation for before and after the Congress. Therefore, you may decide to reach your hotel prior. There are many hotels available in Abu Dhabi with different budget ranges. Please check www.booking.com.

Similar to your travel between the airport and hotel, you can book a taxi service for traveling to the ship terminal too. The address of the terminal is Zayed Port, Al Meena St - Zayed Port - Al Mina Area - Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates. From there, if you have completed your congress registration, your accommodation is pre-arranged on the cruise.

Departure from Congress midway in Doha (Qatar)

Dohar (Qatar),  is the midway stop of the overall cruise journey of Congress. You may want to depart from the Congress at the Terminal in Helsinki and travel back from Helsinki International Airport. In such a case, you will have to make sure to inform us beforehand so that we may schedule your talk/presentation accordingly.

Departure from Congress in Dubai (UAE)

After returning to Dubai on the last day, you will have two options for your travel:

  • Take a flight from Dubai International Airport.
  • The distance between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is 115 km by road. If you don't have a car, taking the line 106 bus and subway and bus is a convenient and affordable way to travel between the two cities. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 56 minutes, with fares ranging from AED 35 to AED 55.
